Context: A multi-location retail chain needed a solution to inconsistent daily performance and customer experience across stores. Corporate leadership had required all locations to hold a daily team huddle to align staff before opening, but execution varied significantly from store to store. I conducted a needs assessment to determine why the requirement wasn't producing consistent results. What I found was that corporate had mandated the huddle but never provided a standard structure or time allotment, leaving each store manager to design their own format. As a result, some managers skipped the huddle when time was tight, others let it run long and cut into opening tasks, and none delivered a consistent set of information before doors opened. Store associates also reported not always retaining the promotions or updates shared, since huddles varied so widely in format and length. This meant there was a knowledge and consistency gap between what corporate intended the huddle to accomplish and what was actually happening at the store level.
Challenge: The challenge was to give store managers a simple, repeatable, time-boxed structure that could be executed consistently in the ten minutes managers realistically had available before opening.
Solution: This job aid gives store managers a clear, adult-learning-informed structure for running a consistent, effective ten-minute huddle. It closes the gap between corporate's intended outcome and frontline execution.

Context: A multi-location retailer offering two commercial payment options to business customers needed frontline staff who could confidently guide customers to the right one: a rewards-based revolving credit card, or a pay-in-full account with net-60 terms. Frontline staff was expected to help business customers choose the right option, but a needs assessment revealed that most staff couldn't clearly explain the difference between the two products, let alone match a customer's specific business needs to the right one. As a result, customers were sometimes guided toward the product the associate happened to be more familiar with, rather than the one that actually fit the customer's spending pattern and cash flow needs. This created inconsistent customer guidance and missed opportunities to build long-term business relationships through the right product fit.
Challenge: The challenge was to give frontline staff a simple way to ask the right questions and confidently recommend the appropriate option in the moment, without requiring a background in finance.
Solution: This job aid gives frontline staff a quick, plain-language framework for identifying what a business customer needs and confidently recommending the right payment option. It was designed as a visual, branching decision tree so frontline staff could scan it and land on the right answer quickly, even in the middle of a live customer conversation.
